I have a question: How about you just keep doing what you've been doing and, at the end of the religious obligatory part of class, add something like "or maybe not, who knows?"
The kids will love it... the parent won't ... you might get kicked out.
How are the rules around there?
In my neck of the woods, a bit further south from your place, is the employer fires you, there must be some compensation, about one month's wager for every year you've worked for them. You say you're senior... that could work out well to give you time to look for another job.
If the employee quits, then he gets nothing.

Putting food on the table is always the tricky part...
Can you look for another job someplace else? A public school, perhaps?...

Oh, almost forgot: welcome to this here fine forum.
Take a load off and don't access it while at school... unless you use some nice encrypted tunnel to some computer on the outside... I've got a raspberry pi at home doing just that, but my reasons are standard paranoia with eavesdroppers... you have a much more demanding concern.

It's all religious platitudes to me. None seem to believe anything. "Fervor" seems a very alien word. But I'm being disingenuous, sorry.

That's the risk of taking that sort of job isn't it. I always wonder that... how can you commit to that road when the choice is always there to change your mind. I think that situation would more make me want to reject it, simply because it was limiting my choices.

I'd be very much the same. Especially in a primary school. And with the people I work with. To me that's very important. I don't think it'd change whatever job I did.

And man, are those Catholic primary schools respected! All my Asian friends are crazy about that top notch education.

I wish you well and congratulate you on your integrity. I'm sure it'll work out the best for you and your family.

As a former student in a Catholic High School, I hope that leaving won't be necessary. I've had a few non-Catholic teachers at my school and nobody seemed to really think anything bad about that. I hope English Catholics would be more accepting than Chicago Catholics.

Sorry in advance for the derail but it just occurred to me how odd it is that a fish as violent as the beta isn't called an "alpha".

That aside, welcome Mr. M. I hope you are able to resolve your employment situation in a manner that satisfies you. What a shame to have relationships with people you respect and value which you know are likely no longer to be reciprocated once they know your truth. All the best with that.

Please ignore this if it isn't a welcome question. This is your introduction thread after all. (I should have brought cookies.) But I wonder why "the supernatural" is a category of concern for you. Do you come across much supernatural in your life?

Oh and we have a member, Xpastor, with a similar story. He hasn't been so active lately though on threads I've been reading.
