For the same reason why praying to jesus did not cure cancer - or heart disease - or the plague - - eliminate death - war - drought - famine - or keep any person from dying eventually.

There remains not a single document at all - from the supposed time of the christ - that mentions him _ NONE AT ALL. THE golden age of Rome - with millions of documents - fail to mention a person who was supposedly revered by MULTITUDES so vast that the trampled each other to see him. OF such great renown that all of the leaders of ROME knew of him = based on the bible

Sorry - but the christ is a MYTH - created by the religious beliefs of a group of dissident jews - who had to make up LOTS of other things in order to ignore obvious parts of the Old Testament. No one have ever proven otherwise.
