Did you get offended?

Were you trying to offend? The point that you cannot be this dense to appreciate is that I for one don't care what you say you believe is going to happen. What I am objecting to is your tone of preachy condescension, your air of supercilious superiority. I'm not offended at your mythology nor your take on it - I'm offended that you consider there's something broken in me that only you and your religion can fix, such that I can be 'saved' like you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

If rev had such a hard time replying to us when he had once a day access... imagine what will happen after 3 days?!

- the triple of non-responses and a far speedier ticket to the next stage of ban... alas, we'll never get to see the other 5 arguments.
I was sOOOO looking forward to those!

The Holy Scriptures does not get into great detail on this.
It doesn't go into any detail on it.
Quote:Thank you for the lesson. However, why can't an all-powerful God have used the same code? He is the Creator, sounds like He certainly could of done it that way.
God could have done it any number of ways. Curious that he chose the method that would provide evidence that it happened another way. It's almost as if it happened without his input at all!
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Maybe god was just lazy. Or busy. He's gotta be busy not answering anyone's prayers ever.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Jesus does answer prayers, just not with a frequency that would make it seem like anything other than random good luck was going on. Obviously.

All I know is that if I work really hard at something, and pray to Jesus that I'm successful, most of the time I'm successful. So, you know...checkmate atheists.

Rev, the only thing we're 'disrespecting' is your imagination, not your silly god thing (which has no evidence for its existence).

If you don't want your beliefs to be ridiculed or commented on, don't share them with us.

Otherwise, don't expect us all to sit back and take everything you say as given, or indeed take a tone of 'respect' towards them. No beliefs deserved to be 'respected', especially ones that use an imaginary being as a motivator and justification for behaviour.

My argument is not that change doesn’t take place within species over time. My argument is that no matter how long the time frame, there is no substantial scientific evidence that a microbe has evolved into a human being. Additionally, there is no substantial scientific evidence that non-living chemicals can produce a living cell regardless of time and/or chance.

That isn't the issue. We have seen evolution in action in different areas and we have brilliant evidence to prove the evolution is a bold colloquial fact, looking into specifics like what have have stated is not important and it does not matter to the fact of evolution whatsoever.
