If I play devil's advocate on behalf of Christianity, is it still devil's advocate?
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

"Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them." - Matthew 13:12

Here we obviously see Jesus the amateur scientist alluding to the notion of "positive feedback," its meaning and utility not fully understood until it was later discovered by engineers, and then biologists, under the "green-beard effect" in the context of sexual selection.

My list:

10) Mt Sinai exists.

9) Jews exist.

8) Trees can grow fruit.

7) Whales are pretty fucking big.

6) The ruler of Egypt in ancient times was called the Pharaoh.

5) There exists in the Middle East a body of water called the Red Sea.

4) There once was a Roman empire.

3) Honor your father and mother.

2) Don't kill people needlessly.

... and number one on today's list:

1) Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. Pity this is honored so often only in the breach.

The Bible, in Revelation 7:1, also refers to angels standing at the "four corners of the Earth."

You are "counting the hits", and ignoring the misses.

The life of the flesh is in the flesh. Blood spreads nourishment and oxygen, and carries off waste; but the process of living goes on in each individual cell.

The entire verse:

Quote:6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God.

Clearly, he's saying he went inside the Earth. He's saying that there's ground at the bottom of the ocean -- hardly a surprise for a sea-going man to know this. Walking on the beach is all the evidence even a land-lubber would need.
