Faith is belief without evidence.

Evidence is informed belief.

Uninformed belief is ignorant belief.

Faith is ignorant belief.

Faith cannot have verifiable evidence, or it wouldn't be faith.

Evidence informs knowledge based belief, to an extent. Nothing is known absolutely. Belief on faith is necessarily sans verifiable evidence. Belief on faith based on information recieved therefore cannot be ignorant faith, as it's based on knowledge, not lack of knowledge.

To have faith and have no knowledge is very likely because faith has no evidence to support it.

Non sequitur. Faith is based on knowledge but not on verifiable evidence.

I'm not saying that any of them are real, but religious people claim that faith (or a form of faith) is truly what tells them that there is a sort of a God or Gods regardless of evidence. It's probably the matter of simply choosing which one to follow, but then how would you know that you've got the right choice? I don't think it'll matter because they all probably have the same reasons.

They know because they have faith.... It's their hail mary answer.

It's not "based" on knowledge. It's not based on anything. It just means belief/trust without evidence.

But it's not based on practical knowledge i.e. meaningful knowledge, let alone verifiable evidence.

You could have faith in that Harry Potter is real, doesn't make it so I'm afraid.

Hell, Harry Potter has a bigger book than the big J, and people can actually see "him", and he performs miracles. Hmm, you might be on to something here.

Faith, in the Christian sense, is the trust in information believed to be true. Verifiable evidence has nothing to do with faith, and is a different subject : science.

I agree, that's what most theists advocate about their beliefs, but consequently it renders faith an ignorant belief if none of it is based on verifiable evidence. If the information is taken at face-value without any kind of scrutiny then by what standards do Christians justify their faith as being true?
