Explain to me how you don't need evidence for faith, but yet you seem to rationalize your "information" as evidence for your faith. By the way, would you be so kind as to actually present this information?
Your arguments are a bit absurd, it really does look like you believe in things for the sake of believing in them, giving no reason at all why they should be seriously considered. Sure, it may be comforting, but within your belief system, I'm not seeing anything that can distinguish between fact and fantasy. It's just one giant wishful thinking and God of the Gaps exercise.

You can have non empirical evidence, such as the entire bible, or experience based upon your assumptions.

Well you're not understanding the argument, if you believe what you said above. So I don't see how you wouldn't find it absurd. I would too.

Can someone explain to me why, in every other facet of your life, having blind faith is considered to be unwise, but when it comes to having blind faith about an invisible, omniscient deity, blind faith is considered to be a virtue?
I have faith that the guy I found standing on a street corner knows how to fix my leaking gas oven.
STUPID!
I have faith that the homeless guy I've picked up and taken into my home is merely down on his luck, and that I can help him get back on his feet!
IDIOT!
I have faith that there is an invisible, benevolent god who sees what I do every second of my life, and that he loves me!
<APPLAUSE>
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.
God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

Anyone remember that Saturday Night Live (original cast) fake commercial for Bad Idea Jeans?
I'm really shitty at giving kudos and rep. That's because I would be inconsistent in remembering to do them, and also I don't really want it to show if any favouritism is happening. Even worse would be inconsistencies causing false favouritisms to show. So, fuck it. Just assume that I've given you some good rep and a number of kudos, and everyone should be happy...

And we get to the starting point yet again. You take assumption and arbitrary assertion and treat them as true. It's a good thing you don't treat other things with such a lax standard of verification.
"Yup, feels right to me!"

So how do you distinguish fact from fantasy? Please explain if I misunderstood.

"Yup, feels right to me!" You misunderstand what I said. The is nothing arbitrary about my assumptions, as they are based upon logical reasoning : therefore they are true in the strict logical sense. I would think that you make your assumptions using the same vigour.

I assume you are saying here that non empirical evidence counts for nothing, and only empirical evidence is a reliable method to base your understanding of everything on? I disagree of course.

Give it up guys - you see, fr0d0 has a perfectly logical system.
To us, we think it is illogical because the act of applying it to the actual universe as we see shows it is an impossible fit. To fr0d0, however, it is a perfect fit. All it means is that he has disregarded or redefined a few things that we take for granted and viola! Instant sense. To him.

Can you give me an example of something I have disregarded or redefined to "adjust" my logic so that it would then fit please?
