Just as under current law, pulling the trigger isn't necessary - simply swearing an oath to a foreign government or joining a foreign military is sufficient. If you happen to have a USA passport, there's a nifty list of things that can get your citizenship yanked.
anjele: Treason I'll agree with. Try them and convict them. Hell, execute them if the court determines that it's warranted. But don't skip due process and punish them, as Palin seems to imply is what she wants done.
CD: As long as due process is followed. That is my real beef with what Palin's comments. The seeming lack of concern with due process.
