Sure, if it makes you happy...
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Passive aggressive FB posts got ranked as one of the least favorable posts for Facebook. If speaking out and telling the truth about this holiday offends some christians, then that is not on me. I am only responsible for what I say, not what others understand. Look in your bible where it says that you shall not eat anything with a cloven (split) hoof. Look in your bible where it says you shall not wear mixed fabrics. None of that is demeaning but rather directly pulled from the bible itself. If you think it is demeaning, then maybe you should re-read your bible. Edited: If you think that pulling laws from the bible so many christians claim to follow is demeaning, then that is something you'll have to deal with, not me. I treat the OT and NT like I do the Constitution....if there is something from the NT that amends the OT, I will go with the ammended version just like I have the right not to self incriminate. That goes both ways. In the OT, I could divorce and remarry as I saw fit....in the NT, I would generally not be able to remarry after getting divorced.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
And the pork thing is amended in the NT?

Here they are again: 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. How do you reconcile those verses, in which Jesus Himself specifically states that ALL of the laws are to be kept, in ALL of their detail, "till heaven and earth pass" and "all be fulfilled"? Do the words of Jesus Himself mean less to you than the writings of the authors of various New Testament books? Is Jesus to be ignored? Is He just saying falsehood and nonsense? Is that what you are telling us? "A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence." — David Hume, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, Section X, Part I.

The dietary restrictions were removed (but as earlier stated, consuming blood is still banned) well as the requirement for circumcision (but that caveat may only apply to Gentiles). Seems like it's still there in Leviticus, just that it was superseded.

Sorry, but if your god from the OT is still the same god from the NT then your argument is invalid. I see nothing in the bible that states that the laws from the OT have been amended. According to the bible, all sin is equal. If you believe in "The Word" then you need to believe in ALL of it and not just the parts you think apply to your life at any given moment.
