Don't the Muslims and Christians believe in the same God after all? I thought so.

Islam, a growing threat to the free world?
|
Islam is a mish-mash of stolen content from the NT and OT and various other religious and traditional teachings plus the addition of Mo's 'revelations' that, as even his wives noticed, seemed to coincide quite nicely with whatever his short term agenda was. Case and point he had a revelation stating that the tribal arabs were allowed to continue worshiping their tribal gods of tradition, then once they had become muslims and has 'submitted' to allah he changed his mind and threatened them with death if they didn't renounce.
.
Yahweh and Allah are both pricks. Jehovah might seem decent at first site, but then you realize he's a massive prick with a split personality that sacrifices himself to himself so he can forgive himself, doesn't have any problem with slavery, and cooks up the horrific idea of eternal damnation. Hence why he's a prick.
Yet you have no proof of that Evie. How do you justify this departure from your usual standard?
God doesn't exist, why should I need proof for what I don't believe in?
All I mean is that how these God's are portrayed in their books. RE: Islam, a growing threat to the free world?

You made definite statements there Evie and as such onus is upon you to back them up. That isn't how God is portrayed in his book, it's how people with an agenda deliberately misrepresent how he's portrayed in his book. Now obviously you can't substantiate your accusations, so to be honest you shouldn't make them.
As a quick synopsis of the God character(s) portrayed in the Bible I would say Evie's conclusions are spot on.
I have no 'agenda'. I make no profit or benefit in any way if people choose to believe in witches, Gods or goblins. It is not an 'intentional misrepresentation' (for what benefit?) of the characters, the Bible represents them quite clearly. I merely give an honest assessment much to the agreement with Evie's. Well, sans the expletitives.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

You know, the Jews could easily say the same thing about the Christian god. If they don't, I would imagine it's only out of politeness and political necessity. The god of the OT and the god of the NT are just as "clearly" two different animals. The messiah that the Jews are expecting and the messiah that the Christians worship are also two different animals. This is another thread I should start. The new religion (Christianity, Mormonism, Islam) always likes to claim the old religion's god, a claim that is never convincing to the followers of the old religion.
Atheist Forums Hall of Shame:
"The trinity can be equated to having your cake and eating it too." ... -Lucent, trying to defend the Trinity concept "(Yahweh's) actions are good because (Yahweh) is the ultimate standard of goodness. That’s not begging the question" ... -Statler Waldorf, Christian apologist
Then what you understand is false dotard
Jews and Christians agree on the definition of God Paladin. Of course Jews won't automatically accept that Jesus was the messiah, but many do. Islam re-writes the Jewish God to be something conflicting. A Jew couldn't become a Muslim and have God be the same as he was when he was a Jew.
As a basic response to the OP; I do not beleive Islam is a growing threat to the free world. Islamic extremists are a growing threat to the free world. But I hold out hope that one day that will not be the majority rule when it comes to islam. We'll see.
