There are many verses throughout the bible that state that god is very angry when his people don't help the poor. It is actually one of the more positive aspects of the bible. There are far more verses on helping the poor than on same sex relationships and abortion(a word not used in the bible). You would think that Christians would be more vocal about the government helping the poor than they are about the government stopping gay marriage. If they were following the bible then there should be mass protests on the White House steps against income inequality. There isn't because American Christians don't follow the bible.
If there bible god was real then when he returned his anger wouldn't be directed at same sex couples or atheists but at Christians. Here are a few Old Testament verses about god getting pissed at those who don't help the poor. Jesus basically said that people who don't help the poor won't go to heaven.
So, yeah, if bible god was real it would be Christians who piss him off
Proverbs 14:31
“He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”
Isaiah 10:1-3
“Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?”
Jeremiah 5:28-29
“... ‘Their evil deeds have no limit; they do not plead the case of the fatherless to win it, they do not defend the rights of the poor. Should I not punish them for this?’ declares the LORD. ‘Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?’”
Ezekiel 16:49
“Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.”
Ezekiel 22:29, 31
“The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the alien, denying them justice…So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
Amos 5:12
“For I know how many are your offenses and how great your sins. You oppress the righteous and take bribes and you deprive the poor of justice in the courts.”
Deuteronomy 15:7
“If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.”
Deuteronomy 26:12
“When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.”
Proverbs 31:8-9
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
Isaiah 1:16-17
“Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.”
Isaiah 58:6-7
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter — when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?”
Jeremiah 22:3
“This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.”
Jeremiah 22:13-14
“Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing, not paying them for their labor. He says, ‘I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms.’ So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red."

The townspeople allegedly wanted to "lie with Angels" of no specific gender.
So, do Angels have bum holes? They must have, if the accusation is that the Sodomites wanted to commit "Sodomy". And also, they have no other servicable holes that the people may have been lusting after, apparently. Where is the evidence for this? It sounds much more like God put a spell of irresistability over his own Angels; or that Angels are inherently irresistible.
Angels have bum holes, that is what Christians are telling me.
When I was a kid, I wondered why god didn't just give the angels the form of really unattractive people with oozing sores so that the people of Sodom wouldn't want to rape the angels.

You're totally right. The amount of time some Christians spend demonising homosexuals is entirely disproportionate to what their book says. As I explained, the story of Sodom isn't about homosexuality, so that leaves one puny reference in the middle of the OT (which we don't follow now, remember?). It's mentioned about the same number of times as eating shellfish and wearing clothing weaved from two fabrics.
And even then, this verse can be reasonably interpreted to mean sodomy, but not homosexuality. The Christians involved either can't or won't understand the difference.

-Or maybe the supreme court decision is apart of humanity's decent into the level of iniquity needed for God to say ENOUGH! and trigger all the wonderful things nope posted in her thread about the last days. That way all you people who want proof will simply have to look out their windows or on their TV's to see God's wrath being poured out onto humanity via the 4 horsemen as described by the book of Revelation.
After all that would answer the Prayer "Your will be done on earth and it is in Heaven" a prayer we 'christians' are all supposed to be praying from the time of Christ Himself.

To quote - god help me - Nick Fury...
"Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on."
In other words, we will act as though there is no god overseeing the whole business due to there being not one shred of actual tangible evidence for his existence. We will build our societies and our laws based on this assumption. And if we are wrong, then we go to hell. Believers like yourself will go to heaven. That sounds like a fair and non-annoying deal for both sides to me.
In the meantime, we're going to continue treating gay people like actual human beings, if you don't mind. If you do mind, nobody gives a shit.
