That's the point. With anti-lock brakes, you don't need to remember to pump them; the vehicle's computer does that for you.

That means that the object is able to work around the human's flaws.

Again, find a nice icy road...or better yet an empty parking lot...and try it.  You skid nicely all the while those brakes are "pumping."

Yes, and airplanes crash, too. I don't see the point of arguing over an analogy. I prefer not letting the perfect be the enemy of the better.
