In my experience the less dogmatic theists are pretty relaxed with atheists. Although understandably are offended by the rhetoric of atheists such as Richard Dawkins (which in my opinion does go overboard on occasion). The more dogmatic ones, especially Evangelical Christians in my experience generally dislike atheists and have burning hatred for the more outspoken ones such as Richard Dawkins. To give an example; there are plenty of examples of Evangelical Christians saying in their testimonies that they were once Atheists.
