Just "dropping by" someone's home uninvited is incredibly disruptive and rude. Folks who engage in that sort of behavior are typically ignored by me. Or simply told "NO" through the door. 
That goes for friends and family as well.

Though most of the time it's just JWs or some guy trying to sell frozen meat.
