RE: When someone knocks on your front door when you're not expecting anyone.

In the daytime I've never been nervous of someone knocking at the door. I've always lived in a well populated area, I'm very rarely in a situation where someone has a strong vendetta against me. I just answer if I want or not if I don't. It's usually been out of laziness if I didn't answer the door but then I feel guilty because it could have been a delivery for one of my parents.
An uninvited night time knock at the door is a massively different situation. Any time after 9pm, that would get me nervous. After midnight and that's pretty much horror film material.
With my living circumstances right now the situation rarely happens to me. I'm usually either out of the house or asleep and when it's not either of those then I'm in the attic and can't hear the door and I live with my parents so they answer the door anyway.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
