Often they are referred to as giants by those who study up on them, and yes they are spoken of in the bible as demons. HOWEVER the actual common conception of what the Nephilim are (from what I have seen) is that they are actually an extra terrestrial race who came down and tampered with human DNA, and cross bred with us at some point in time. Obviously this is bullshit but look up any videos or information on the Nephilim and this should be what you find out. Obviously as a Christian you are going to take the biblical interpretation of the Nephilim as literally 'demons', however I am actually more inclined to think the general concensus is that the Nephilim are extra terrestrials who are referred to as 'demons' because back then there were no other translations for aliens.(October 3, 2011 at 9:30 am)Napoleon Wrote: Actually Lucent I have researched the Nephilim myself and nowhere have I seen anyone say they were from another 'dimension'.
Well, Demons are extra-dimensional, from a spiritual plane of existence..the word Nephilim means "earth-born"..they were born on Earth..they aren't disembodied spirits, and whether they can traverse the material into the spiritual I don't know
Quote:Luke 17:26
Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.
Which seems to indicate that the Nephilim could return in the last days, since they were around in the days of Noah.
There is also a prophecy in Daniel about the last days:
And whereas you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not join one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
Daniel 2:43
"They" seems to refer to the seed of Satan, and the Nephilim..since "they" are a different seed than the seed of man, and the seed of Satan is what created the nephilim. So there seems to be correlation between the last days and the nephilim.
Again, you seem to be taking the biblical view literally. From what I have read and seen of the Nephilim it is far more common that they are percieved as aliens, who were interpreted by the bible and and people of old as demons and fallen angels.
I would just like to say though either view on them is utterly rediculous. I just thought I'd point out that your reference to them as demons from another dimension might be incorrect.
