Pretty much. Patriarchal value making isn't now nor has it ever been reputation or pussy egalitarianism. That these suckers are feeling left out is just an artifact of finding themselves in the position that the majority have always been in under the same. Coming up with cracked excuses for it's defensibility is going to be counterproductive. They aren't it's beneficiaries. Never were, never will be.
