RE: Speed-of-light experiments give baffling result at Cern

If the theory that neutrinos can travel faster than light had been proven, the scientific community would be overjoyed. Nothing science loves more than truth. It would have definitely changed physics, but unlike religion, science's responsibility is truth and not ancient, irrational claims.
As a chistian I know put it, after I explained to her cern's claims- "You never know, neutrinos could be angels... god's precious speckles."
Instead scientific, skeptical minds collaborated, finding errors in the experiment/claims, and electromagnetic radiation (as far as we know) is still the fastest. I can understand that cern was excited to have their findings tested, so I don't find them untrustworthy for that.
The anti-science factions will and do make up shit, science doesn't and won't. A mistake, at least, proves that someone did something.
