For those unaware, the above is nearly an exact copy of an earlier thread by onlinebiker, I just substituted California for Pakistan.

The chief difference is that OLB got excoriated as a bigot. Why is it that when Pakistanis are called out for idiotic behaviour it’s bigotry, but when Californians are called out for EXACTLY the same behaviour, it just leads to a discussion of beach safety?

You know why, Boru. Stop this pretense, dude. And for the record, if you single out Californians as the problem behind this crisis, it's still considered bigotry, lol. It's just perhaps nobody gives a shit when it's about mainly white privileged who don't have to deal with hate crimes because of the color of their skin.

Here's the thing. Context matters. Motivation matters. Nuance matters. Pakistan is a country of predominately BROWN people, common targets of xenophobia. A privileged Western white dude is posting about Pakistan expressing how much it sucks for behavior that people in Western countries are also doing. It would've been different if it was a Pakistani dude doing it in a Pakistani forum.

Your thread is also clearly a parody. Another difference.
