Nah, it’s doable. $250 in 1995 would have been the equivalent $425 today. Still would have been a squeeze, though.
But not everyone is in the same situation. Some single-earner households have children, some don’t. Some have car payments, some don’t. Some have medical issues, some don’t. Simply because OLB was able to get by on - essentially - $1700 per month doesn’t mean everyone can.
