It seems like you're just siding with the people you agree with, not acting on a principle that applies neutrally. I suspect you're just going to support whichever side's political position you like, regardless of their actions, and argue bitterly against whichever side's political position you dislike, regardless of their actions.

Aren't they just "challenging and criticizing" the people that they disagree with? There doesn't seem to be any difference of principle here.
