Just saying "The bible translation means something else" doesn't change the definition of "omnipotent." And you're just using the "lost in translation" defense. Besides, "almighty" means the same thing as "all powerful."
The fact that your bible contradicts itself is a flaw of your bible, not a flaw of word definitions. It doesn't matter what translation you choose to use anyway, because you'd think a being powerful enough to create the entire universe would be able to prevent living beings on one tiny speck of it from suffering.
