No, I didn't miss that. I also didn't miss the fact that the military (especially the Air Force bases in Nevada) aren't known for being exactly forthcoming with the news media. There are a lot of classified prototypes routinely tested over southern Nevada. It's hardly a surprise that they didn't comment/return the call. A civilian airport has perfectly good radar equipment and is in just as good a position to verify unusual activity. It's a rather obvious follow-up for such a 'serious' news item.
