More atheist men than women?

According to this WIN-Gallup poll, there are a higher percentage of women who are atheists than men (See table 8 on page 20):

So maybe there is no need to try to "explain" why women would be more religious at all.

As for atheist women, I found a nice one and married her.  She is a very strong atheist.  But she would not waste her time on a site like this one, so that is why she isn't here.  Of course, she would not be doing any of you lonely guys any good anyway, because she and I are very happy together.

If you are serious about meeting an atheist woman, you might want to try an atheist dating site, or go to local meetings of atheist groups.

And, of course, you still have to convince her that it isn't a waste of time to be with you, so this is not a panacea for lonely guys.  If you treat women like shit, smart women don't want you.

I'd love to see table eight broken out by country.
