Hyperskepticism doesn't help - Not to mention that nowadays genitalia alone doesn't determine everything - But is there any reason I shouldn't assume people are on good faith? I'm questioning the basic assertion and asking for data to back it up. The entire question is based on information that, so far as I can tell, doesn't exist at all. What's going on is confirmation bias, not an intellectual evaluation of the existing data. So if we're supposed to evaluate why there are more male atheists on this forum, we need to know how she knows there are more male atheists on this forum and likewise, how she knows there are more female theists on the other. "It seems to me" isn't a good way of gaining factually true information.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide mankind that cannot be achieved as well or better through secular means.
