Not on a scale with what Mr Bush did, but it's a difference of degree, not of kind.

I disagree. It is a difference in kind. Van Morrison is a singer for hire. Bush was supposed to be someone who served America. And America already paid him, and continues to pay for his security. Not to mention the fact that Bush is to blame for the maiming of many servicemen. Unless you are going to tell us that Van Morrison was connected to the bombing and was a paid government worker, I would say it is very much a difference in kind.
