What we need less and less are unqualified and unskilled workers to do the menial and repetitive work. Machines don’t tire, are faster and more precise than humans, but their abilities are still limited. That’s why we are still searching for the key to real AI.
All the production lines that have made workers doing simple work unnecessary need maintenance, need to be supervised, controlled, repaired. The production lines need to be designed, modified, adapted, etc. All of this can only be done by humans, but what is needed is people with a minimum set of skills and abilities.
