Your statements make it seem apparent that you believe that homosexuality is a disease which should be cured. That is a position of ignorance.

If you want to call it that way.. I generally use a less hostile word, "abnormality". Yes, that is exactly what I think that homosexuality is. And well, it does not really matter what I think. There are certain homosexuals, who do not want to be like that, obviously. They want to be cured. But these ex-gay thing is obviously not really working. So it's up to modern medicine to devise a means to provide a cure for these people. Üze Tengri basmasar, asra Yir telinmeser, Türük bodun ilingin törüngin kim artatı udaçı erti?
They only want to be 'cured' because they have people like you telling them they're not 'normal.' If they were just accepted for who they are, they would have no desire to change.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

That is a position of ignorance. Didn't know that the ages had fallen that low, but there is nothing ethically wrong there. The homosexuals who are already adults can take them if they so please, or leave it. But I think if this homosexuality in children thing is real and can actually show itself in some manner, yes, parents who wish to do that, should do that by all means. I personally would encourage families to do it. Üze Tengri basmasar, asra Yir telinmeser, Türük bodun ilingin törüngin kim artatı udaçı erti? RE: Former Ex-Gay Activist Admits Gay People Don’t Change

Because technically, people reach the age of majority (I know it's that way in the US, and, judging by Wikipedia, it's like that in most of the developed world) at the age of 18. People tend to start feeling sexual attraction around the ages of thirteen or fourteen, while they're still legally considered minors. I have known some people who have been kicked out of their homes as a direct result of coming out to their parents.
