Perhaps we could kick the lilliputans off of Easter Island and rename it Hitchensland.
'The difference between a Miracle and a Fact is exactly the difference between a mermaid and seal. It could not be expressed better.'
-- Samuel "Mark Twain" Clemens "I think that in the discussion of natural problems we ought to begin not with the scriptures, but with experiments, demonstrations, and observations". - Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) "In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! " - Dr. Donald Prothero Some bishop cunt Wrote:"great shame that a tiny minority are seeking to ban the majority". No, it's a shame that the 'majority' think they have a right to impose their wills on the minority.
You mean the country where this guy was thrown in jail for using Twitter? Lol, no thanks!
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."
-Ruta Skadi, The Subtle Knife
I'd prefer a country that actually has free speech. Britain is increasingly authoritarian.
Escaping religious saturation is a nice thought but then I'd have to deal with the weather over there is Australia any better for religion...oh wait I hate snakes. Shit.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

Meaning, the Anglican Church constitutes the de facto state religion of UK. Now, we were also faced with a similar dilemma: Our monarch(the Sultan) was also the Caliph, meaning, the head of all (sunni) Moslems around the world. So, the Ottoman Dynasty which had lived for more than 600 years was abolished, and its wealth, power and religious significance stripped from it. Obviously after this, came the french definition of secularism, laicite into the constitution. Now, is this the case for the UK? Or like, for America, where there is no state religion, no monarch that is the supposed head of a church, and etc... Really, if you are really so anal-retentive about certain matters, sure, abandon your country, your family and friends for the UK. Üze Tengri basmasar, asra Yir telinmeser, Türük bodun ilingin törüngin kim artatı udaçı erti?
For once mehmet you are correct. This is a shallow victory when you consider how unsecular the UK is as a whole.
Similar situation here. Still a fundie nutter country with fundie nutter policy decisions and decision makers (even though we explicitly claim that we are no such thing).
