RE: difference between Micro and macro evolution

Microevolution is a part of macroevolution, and both are a part of evolution. Microevolution is small incremental changes within a species or population over successive generations. When those incremental changes between two or more seperated gene pools within a species mount up over many generations to the point they can no longer interbreed, that is when microevolution becomes macroevolution. Macroevolution is when microevolution reaches the point of speciation and above. Those gene pools will continue to drift apart over many more generations until they have diverged into many new species, genera, tribes, families and so on. The different gene pools will continue to diverge as long as each lineage survives, and it will some day get to a point after thousands upon thousands of generations where these descendants will be completely different from their now distant ancestors.

Think of it this way:
Micro evolution is something creationists don't want to deny because some of them breed dogs. Macroevolution is something creationists want to deny because it highlights to them in sharp relief that the the rest of humanity have passed them by and evolved beyond the apes.

Macroevolution is a strawman which exists only in the blighted minds of crocoduck hunters!

That apparently happens all the time.

Not really. Micro-evolution is how a species adapts to changing conditions on a season per season basis. Macro-evolution is change deemed so necessary for the survival of a species that such change continues throughout the subsequent generations of that species.
For example, there are two types of moths in a species...one is darker and one is lighter. In years with high pollution, the white moth is more prone to be eaten by predators and the other moth of the same species succeeds. The next year, there is less pollution and the white moth is less prone to predators.
In macro-evolution, take the example of the proto-dolphins living 50-60 million years ago. There was a plethora of fish in the sea. Over-time, the members of the species more adapted to hunting in the sea passed on their genes to the next generation because of survival of the fittest. Over millions of years of this genetic testing by nature, we have the modern dolphin.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
