Prayer in School

RE: Prayer in School
I feel comfortable with the law.

Polaris, the point of being Christian is wanting everyone to accept Jesus Christ. Fishers of men and all that shit. It's not religious people that these objections are about. It is about Christians, from what I have read in this thread. So, no, all Christians want everyone to "accept" their faith in a much different way than how you put it.

You're not supposed to pray in public. Keep that shit where it belongs in the private place along with other activities of masturbation and self-gratification.

Quote:Matthew 6:5 And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.

Well you do have a point there, but there are many of faith who don't absolutely want everyone to follow their faith, but just want their faith to be accepted just as there are many homosexuals who want their homosexuality to be accepted as well.

See, I don't see the world in the eyes of uniformity, but in the eyes of acceptance and tolerance.

Except Xtasrianity is not a religion of acceptance and tolerance. "Acceptance" of superstitions is the very antithesis of the education that schools are there to provide.

Quote:For example, I was offended that a public school prevented Moslems from being able to ritually clean themselves at school, which is required by their faith, even though I do not believe Islam is the correct religion.

I have seen muslims "ritually cleaning" themselves with their bird baths and snot parties in the bathrooms at my work, it's like a flock of fucking pigeons had a water balloon party. They leave a mess and a sopping wet floor for others to slip on. No. Schools are not there to cater to every idiotic superstition that students' ignorant parents have foisted upon them. Education is the Anti-superstition, and superstition has no place whatsoever in the schools.

By any chance, are you white?
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Your whole attitude is that of a white person, which affects your judgement of non-white society and of that which did not originally come from white society.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Not really. Minorities have an agreement...nothing we say against white people is racist...might be bigoted, but not racist. Double standard, yes. Fair, yes.
