I have known many people that can be accurately classified as assholes, you do not merit their company.
The simple truth is that you are blatantly incorrect regarding the Biblical account of the flood.

Revelations promoted blind obedience to all of the bible and was in the old. New testament is more popular than old testament. You ever wonder why that is? You ever consider it might not just be the fact it doesn't promote killing everyone (although it certainly promotes killing quite afew) but that it allows people to pick and choose?
The New Testament was like a PR campaign. Do you really think anyone would really follow the Bible today if it hadn't been added on? It allowed you to pick and choose which means you can just ignore the old testament and the bits you don't like.
So my point is that the truth has very little to do with what the Bibles for. It just lets people mix and match their own little system of beliefs by cherry picking.
Do you understand?
The Old Testament has archaelogical proof that it hasn't been changed. As the Torah, it was a book of reflection and was supposed to be interpretted by the reader.
The New Testament, was a Roman-fuelled bastardization of circulating texts that were designed to controll the primarily pagan citizens.
You fell for the lie, get over it. (you don't have to still believe the lie now, ya know?)
Revelations exposed the existence of free will. There would be no need of a warning if the Bible couldn't be changed...
So you're aware the new testament is worthless in terms of consistency then? Then you're also aware that leaves the old testament. Theres nothing in it that says you can cherry pick. It makes many statements to the contrary. The majority of the old testament is filled with stuff that would make your skin crawl.
Why keep it? Why not just cast it aside for the barbaric trash it is. Why not follow your own compass instead of depending on superstition?

See? You claim to have read it all but I can give you at least 2 more verses that allows for an individual's ability to "cherry pick".
If you can quote one of them, I may start believing you have actually read it in it's entirety.

The ignorance is yours. Learn something and research "e-artz" and "erets" in Hebrew.
I said the Bible didn't specify a world-wide flood, you got your panties in a bunch because I think for myself.

I said I'd read it cover to cover, not memorized every quote. Do you have any idea how much I'd have to remember to do that? My memorys not that great at the best of times. What are you, crazy?
I certainly don't remember any quotes that suggested that but lets see them.
Catfish... by any chance were you bluffing and are now desperately looking for said quotes?

... you are aren't you. Could you hurry up maybe? I appreciate looking through the internet for answers you didn't have prepared could potentially be a rather slow and frustrating process but... ya know, shit to do.
Ok well it looks like hes run away. Perhaps get back to the topic then? Everyone feel free to inform each other about their sex lives.
Oh by the way cato123, that retort? Fuck yeah.

Maybe the sun came up and had it's usual side effects on his kind. Too bad this thread got so badly derailed isn't it?
So what are the thoughts of the various and sundry around here? What do you think it would be like if the town you live in right now were to have this type of festival happen? Pandemonium, celebration, anything at all?

Holy fuck that was funny! "Nearly naked, body all ripped,....". Oh, fuck me. I'm still laughing but can no longer piss myself since I've emptied the tank.

Here's the one I posted earlier that you didn't remember...
Jeremiah 8:8
New International Version (NIV)
8 “‘How can you say, “We are wise,
for we have the law of the Lord,”
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?
