If a sorcerer used demonic powers on national television, people at the wrong stage (from Satan's point of view) would learn that, indeed, a spiritual world exists. And they might be led to Christ--the very person a demon wants you to avoid. If you are already dwelling in materialism (and therefore separated from the Truth of God), a demon has no need to show himself to you. There have been plenty of documentations of spiritual encounters--exorcisms and the like. Most happen to people who are already aware of the spiritual realm. Satan has his goals, just as God does. If revealing their existence will not help win you to their side, they will remain in the background. Satan is most dangerous when you don't know he's there.
Check out "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis for more insight. It is written from a demon's point of view.

"Satan is most dangersous when you don't know he's there." Sounds a lol like god.

I served many a year on a U.S. submarine. One of the self inflicted psych tests was this..."If you woke up being blown, would you let him finish?"

Regardless of your sincere answer (assuming you have no idea what it's like to be on a submarine), who sent this angel? God or the Devil?

To Lion..... who insists that Egypt was depopulated for 40 years because his fucking stupid bible said so....in spite of the fact it never happened.

He had asked for one example of a bullshit bible prophecy and then, when presented with it, runs and hides. Probably dug himself a hole and covered himself with bibles so the stupidity can seep even further into his bones.

Now thats a sure-fire way to get my attention - claim that I am running away.

I never asserted that Egypt was depopulated for 40 years.

Try the quote function pal!

Quote:I never asserted that Egypt was depopulated for 40 years.

That's what your fucking bible says. You asked for an example where your bible wasn't true ( there are many more but let's stick with this one for now) and there it is.

You know....and you may find this hard to believe...none of us really gives a flying fuck what YOU say. When you insist your bible is right you can expect to have it shoved up your ass every time.

So. Are we in agreement that at least one of your precious "propheices" is incorrect?

No. I think the bible prophecy in Ezekiel 29 came true.
And I think there were large parts of, what is now Egypt, which were left desolate for 40 years or more.
But I dont think your understanding of..."from the tower of Seveneh even unto the border of Ethiopia..."is the same as mine.

So you have your own bible, huh?

Here's a reminder of what your horseshit said...since you seem to have trouble holding a thought.

Quote:11 The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years. 12 I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.

IT NEVER HAPPENED

And all your fucking whining is not going to change that.
