Demons only reach out to those they can easily deceive. If a sorcerer used demonic powers on national television, people at the wrong stage (from Satan's point of view) would learn that, indeed, a spiritual world exists. And they might be led to Christ--the very person a demon wants you to avoid. If you are already dwelling in materialism (and therefore separated from the Truth of God), a demon has no need to show himself to you. There have been plenty of documentations of spiritual encounters--exorcisms and the like. Most happen to people who are already aware of the spiritual realm. Satan has his goals, just as God does. If revealing their existence will not help win you to their side, they will remain in the background. Satan is most dangerous when you don't know he's there.

No. I think the bible prophecy in Ezekiel 29 came true.
And I think there were large parts of, what is now Egypt, which were left desolate for 40 years or more.
But I dont think your understanding of..."from the tower of Seveneh even unto the border of Ethiopia..."is the same as mine.
