Why was the crucifixion necessary ?

So, righteousness demands that someone die for the sins committed against god. Is this standard of righteousness something that god created, or is it wholly seperate from him?

My own authority, my own society, where all claims of justice originate. There is no other authority, there are no other standards. Your criticism is empty.

You are interjecting your personal beliefs into the established beliefs of others (based on the authority you have given to yourself) and you believe my 'critcism' to be empty? 
The crucifixion was necessary because every novel needs a bang-up ending.
