I believe the confidence intervals for these numbers are all above an alpha of .90.

If you visit the link to the marginal revolution blog, you'll be able to follow some analysis of the numbers.

I don't really have an argument for how these numbers should be interpreted with regard to the proportion of racists in each party. This is merely data; what do you guys think is the best way to interpret it?

With a confidence level of .90, none of the numbers are really comparable. They are all practically the same values.

This seems to be a showcase for some software called "Quick Tables". I cannot find any other details about the survey. Doesn't mean it is not accurate, just unsubstantiated (as far as my cursory search revealed).

My guess was it was to try and show that the Republican party is somehow "more racist" than the Democratic party. In reality, both parties have crazies. Republicans have the tea party, and Democrats have the occupy movement. You can spin party intolerance both ways; the Republicans had a black party chairman for a number of years, and the Democrats have fielded Fred Phelps (well known hate-mongerer) for Kansas Governor multiple times, as well as for the US Senate.

Neither party is racist, but due to the fact that quite a few Americans still are, it doesn't surprise me that there are racist / intolerant elements in both.

You lost me the minute you said numbers. I'll wait for someone who understands this stuff to explain it.
