I'm looking forward to them.
To your credit...you are the only one who has been interested in what I [want] to say!
I started w/ the Trinity but got bashed immediately. At that point I was thinking I needed to intergrate more by earning "some" respect....it spiraled out of control.
I'm sorry, but I have a little pride...and it's hard to articulate ideas when I'm being lambasted from every direction! Especially frustrating is being taken out of context, and my words twisted into new meanings that are untrue!
That's why I haven't been able to continue my points! With the exception of you, and maybe one other...everyone just doesn't care. And saying: "Yeah sure tell us your shit!"...isn't very compelling reasons for conversations!
Do I blame them? No, not fundamentally! I personally wouldn't want someone "new" coming in my house to rattle my foundations!
I would need to trust that a person is at least sane who is potentially going to try and dismantle my belief system...or lack there-of!
I'm thinking the time will present itself to open "it" up! You will be the first to know...for your "somewhat" welcoming manner.
I really don't have anything earth-shattering to offer...just some common sense, food for thought ideas.

I think you give yourself too much credit. You even admitted in the last line of your post that you have nothing earth-shattering to offer. I ask this question in all seriousness and without condescension, but do you honestly think that we haven't heard all of the "common sense, food for thought ideas?"
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Very well, take your time.
I'll be waiting.
You know, everyone around here has heard the same arguments made over and over and bash you immediately because they know how it will end... well, at least they make an educated guess, based on that past experience.
I'm still new around here, so I still have the patience to hear you out.
Go on, when you feel you have all the ideas ready, put them on your notepad and then copy them into a new thread, here. We'll see what comes out of it, then.

As is anyone who posts here, myself included. You are not being singled out for special treatment; you do not deserve special treatment. Grow a backbone. And do stop shouting.

I agree. Probably not for the same reasons, though.

Then perhaps your posts aren't capable of withstanding the shredding? Or perhaps they only appear "screwy looking" because they are?

Only if your definition of "rebellious thoughts" includes not agreeing with you. As a general rule, atheism and/or scepticism does not necessarily imply disagreement for disagreement's sake; while there may be such people around, most of us who self-identify as atheist don't take up the contrary position out of sheer bloodymindedness, merely because we can.
It always amuses me to see posts like this, complaining about how we "pick on the new kid" or somesuch. I always get this mental image of, say, an Einstein or a Dawkins standing in front of a peer-review committee, stamping their foot and sulking because others have the temerity to question their research and not just take their word for it. Now I've ensured that you get this image too.

Look up the difference between open-mindedness and credulous; you might want to throw in gullible as well. As for lies, a glance at some recent posts just in this thread alone reveals lies and distortions propogated as statistics by certain of our number.
As an aside, since we're on the subject of honesty, I do wish you would refrain from using quotation marks to emphasise your own words. It may look pretty but it does carry the implication that you are quoting some third-party source. I'm not sure how or even if the rules would apply to such tricks, but you are essentially asserting that the quoted phrase is an actual statement made by someone here, when in fact the only person who used the words attributed in your pseudoquote is you.

OH REALLY? WHAT AM I THEN? See how that looks? Doesn't it look as though I just lost my temper with your callous disregard for your fellow humans' status as people, considering and castigating them as objects ("WHAT") rather than individuals (who)? Let me make one thing clear, if nothing else: you absolutely do have the right to your own opinion. You absolutely have the right to enquire our opinions. You absolutely do not have the right to dictate to us our opinion and I resent your doing so.
As has been already stated, in the "Face of God", whatever that may mean in practise and if such a thing is even remotely likely, I would not act in the manner you ascribe so officiously to your critics. It shouldn't take a genuis to work out why that would be. In fine, if I were confronted by a being who could demonstrate to the point of incontrovertible proof to me that it really is a genuine, bona fide god, I would no longer be an atheist! It really is that simple!

And here you go again with the high-handed disregard for the rights and opinions of others - "people like you". What a shallow and empty little life you must lead, having to leech off others in order to give it meaning. I feel sorry for you.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

You have some points! And I'll take one or none into consideration.
I'll start by filling my shallow, empty life with lead! And leech other stuff off peeps like cash and lint!
And.... Don't feel sorry ........... its really unnecessary and unbecoming of a godless person to be pouring out their hearts like this!

Well America (or more plainly the framework for what would become America arising during early Colonial America) was founded on Protestant morality and ethics. That has carried through the centuries.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
