I don't like it when it devolves into an, "I'm right, you're wrong, and you should admit it" sort of thing. People don't like to admit when they're wrong and are highly unlikely to do so over an internet forum. No problems with telling people their wrong, but expecting to change someone's mind is reaching.

Just as a side note - they had an update on the story, but I thought I'd pass it along to bolster my point.

When I was a kid, I had a close group of friends who accepted me for liking what I did because they liked the same things too. Oddly, even as a kid I had no love for Star Trek and it was Star Wars all the way, despite "peer pressure" from my friends. I never felt bullied for liking geek things. We were merely misfits. I got worse for being Jewish.
