They don't get to determine their sentence, but they can questions someone's judgement when determining it for them.

That's why you can appeal.

No mention of the Abraham thing I brought up. I wonder why that is?

Correct, we don't let the convicts determine their own guilt or sentence. They may judge the judges all they like, but as they don't have capacity to overrule those judgments, their complaints are in vain.

They do have the ability to appeal harsh, unfair or illegal sentences handed down by courts. Judges make decisions based on the law, but they are not above it.

Quote:Jesus said, "with what judgment you judge, you will be judged." Paul said, "in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things."

I haven't checked lately, but last I remember, I did not flood the entire world and kill all creatures on it because people didn't like me enough. So, it would be unjust to judge me for this crime, even though I judge God for it (as he is actually guilty of it and I am not).

Quote:The more I consider these, the more profound I find them to be.

You find meaningless babble profound. That's telling.

Basically Jesus is saying that if someone judges without empathy or fairness, God/Jesus will judge them the same way, because God/Jesus is no better than a psycho who lacks those qualities.

Correct. They don't get to judge the judge themselves, at least not in any effective sense. They can appeal to other judges, i.e. the peers of the judge.

So, if you don't like God's judgment, appeal to his peers.

Just kinda FYI. Christ makes the compareson and divides the people of the world into one of two catagories Sheep, which you seem to be well aware of and Goats. Sheep being desired by Christ, and Goats to be seperated and later cast out into the 'Darkness.'

So yes when properly/contextually viewed it is good to be a sheep.

If you addressed all your posts it would be helpful.

I did; rational thinking.

And I won!

It is desirable to be 'wanted' by a capricious mass murderer?

You appear to have missed the point.
In your concept of god, all humans are just animals. He doesn't care if he kills some, or if some of them kill each other.
Just like John V didn't care about killing off an entire colony of ants.
Hence, he's ok with all the stuff in the OP. He doesn't care.
