In this sense, 'creation' would be far more regional than xtians like to assert, it would simply be our known universe being one of at least two. Trying not to get hung up on terms.

I find this hypothesis intriguing.

Might you secretly believe God exists but exercise a selfish and wilfull suspension of that belief in order to live your life as if there's no God/afterlife?

When you prove science to be false, your accusation will become valid.
I'm just saying that with so many errors easily pointed out in the bible, I think that many theists truly see the errors but refuse to admit it for any number of silly reasons.

That's the great thing about Christianity, its a cafeteria religion now so you will be hard to find two who agree on anything. Can ignore certain parts, reinterpret others to mean whatever you wish. Allows you to try and wiggle out of the more fundamentalist Christian positions though this still doesn't say a thing about the truth of any of it. Nor that this God cares a fig about any of us unless we kiss his butt.
