My argument is on the bases of Jesus Christ being a true historical figure. If Jesus Christ existed than it is most likely that history is correct of it's assumptions. This is no illusion, the Association Of British Humanist reports that "almost all scholars believe that Jesus existed in the first century CE in Palestine" ( http://www.humanism.org.uk/jesus.asp ). Jesus is the bed rock of Christianity. As i have stated before If there is historical evidence of his existence then the rest could also be true.

So Jesus existed. Well I know that there is some argument ybout that.

But let`s assume he really did.

What about Mohamed, Siddharta Gaudama and others.

They did exist aswell.

So what makes Jesus so special?

Besides, acknowledging that someone may have existed is a far cry from conceding that they are the son of a deity.

Even if we agree that a historical Jesus did exist, so what?

You can't smuggle supernatural claims on the back of some historical accuracies.

If so, that leads you down the road of accepting that Greek gods existed because the Iliad contains historical accuracies.

Most of those historical figures you posted I believe you can visit there graves. They never claimed that they would return back from the grave. But Jesus did. And can you visit his grave? Show me where his tomb and his bones rest? That's right you can't. That's what makes him special. He claimed resurrection before he died and history still cannot refute it. The burden has know been placed on you. He claimed resurrection and for 2,000 years no one has found

It cannot be proved that the resurrection took place. When an empty tomb is discovered, a much likelier explanation is that the remains were simply moved.

There is this famous part in a french novel about Jean de Arc or Johanna of Orleon.

She claimed to have been ordered by god himself to drive the english out of France, by finding a sword in a field.

Whilest in english captivity, a "angel" turns up and questions her claim to be on a devine mission by pointing out to her that:

The sword could have been lost there while a battle.
The sword could have been thrown away by a disgrunteled knight.
The sword could have been stolen by a thief who then threw it there when chased
The sword could have been lost there by knight
The sword could have been hidden there by a night

Funny how this fictional character of an angel in a french novel delivers this argument against divine mission.
