I think the issue of white horse is red herring lol , who knows but my interpretation is that its symbolic and the white horse shows Christ coming in the second phase and role of Messiah, ie in kingship displaying his full power and his intention of using it. As to why not sooner, again I do not posses the capacity to create even a single molecule from nothing so how can I even come close to understanding the Creator of the Cosmos in its vastness in space and time. Maybe the reason that he had to leave after rising from the dead... is that he didn't rise from the dead!! And the reason that he has not returned sooner is that he is dead... It kind of sucks. But it does make sense.

When you think about it there was no reason to leave shortly after rising from the dead. Think of how much more effective it would have been if he had made public appearances and taught AFTER rising from the dead! Now that would have really been something.

The crucified Jesus has risen from the dead and is continuing to teach, and help people!!!!

But now the story of him only appearing to a few key people and then flying off to heaven on a chariot... sounds a little contrived... Like somebody stole the body from the tomb and made up a story.

I've been giving this a lot of deep thought lately and I'm a little concerned. Jesus is supposed to return on a white horse and lead a war. Think about that. Think about how much it would suck if you got killed by Jesus. That is like a double damn! Or think about what it would be like to be on the wrong side and fighting to protect the life of your wife and kids -- against 'God'.... And how can you kill him??? That would really really suck!

So here is what I propose. I say that we intercept Jesus when he makes this second coming on his white horse. And I say that we take him to Las Vegas and get him laid.

Like many here I was raised catholic and rejected it. Religion makes more sense as a mechanism of social control. I'm 62 and feel no need for fantasies. I do not need what you are selling.
