It's a word that basically means "trivial chatter". You can talk a lot about nothing, and spin it with a skosh of wit, and viola!

You have les gift of gabitygabgab.

The rather more conventional construction is "the gift of the gab", rather than "gift of gab". Or you could opt for the Franglais version, but only if you happen to be a Violet Lilly Blossom.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I like to use 'iEl infortino de gab!'

Mostly because I don't speak spanish, and I love pissing people off Smile

Does it work? I might give it a go, although I don't seem to need to put in much effort to get that effect.

Oh hell yes, you say it to a Mexican and watch them gabber away in spanish. Boy but I should remember the curses they use, the only word I ever pick up on is 'Maria'.

Quote:"Gab" means, idle talk. Talk incessantly about trivial matters.

Think of any preacher prattling on and on about his/her particular variant of god. That is a good enough example.

Have you ever noticed that spanish, spoken by native spaniards, specially women, sounds a lot like arabic?

ROFLOL

You know that joke about the quiz show in which the guest is asked in the category of sports:

Name a dangerous race begining with the letter "A".

And he replies:

"The Arabs."
