Biblical Inerrancy - mandatory to be Christian?

He does allow all those things to occur without stepping in to help. Prayers go unanswered all the time. That, in my book, makes him as evil as evil can be.

A lot of the time, God does answer prayers. He looks at sinners who ask God for things, and God says "you are praying me to remove sickness, but I gave you the sickness, because you sinned" and God doesn't heal them.

God makes people sick because they deserve it. It is sad because they get sick, but in another way, it is good, because they deserve it.

Justice is a sweet balm to ease the pain of men's cruelty. The LORD is the giver of that sweet, sweet cup, God will never apologize for what God does. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but at the same time, I think God realizes how sweet it is to see the wicked eat the crops they have sown.

Then he is not a good god. It is really not that difficult a concept to understand, once one bypasses the illogical concept that he can do no wrong. He even admitted to being fallible once, with the rainbow after the flood, a sign to state that he knew he had made a mistake and would never repeat it.

It's called the 'problem of the heathens'. Salvation is not a formula. It comes from responding to the spiritual light of the Lord. People and cultures that have not been exposed to the Gospel message are not damned. The Lord's mercy credits them with their acceptance of and faithfulness to the truths to which they have been exposed. Since truth only comes by means of our Lord, the heathens are in one sense, receiving Christ, even if they are not fully aware of the ultimate source.

But who are the heathens? I can look at the so-called "Gospell message" and see heathen influence in it.

Why does God have to only wink God's eyes at people who do wrong to be good? Is this how parents, employers, the government, or anything in the world works? Why should God repay evil with good?

Why does god, or the writer's of the mythology to be more precise, have to threaten people to make them believe?

Because there are so many people like you, who will do everything they can to avoid following an argument or do anything they can to avoid wrestling with issues they don't want to deal with.

So you do admit that a god who has to threaten people into believing in him is a sociopath? I do not avoid issues, because that would take closing my eyes to reality and believing blindly in religion.

That is MrInfidel. His MO is to just repeat atheist propaganda. I wonder if he is actually a bot that connects to the cgi and manipulates it. Wouldn't surprise me. The answers he gives look like a computer typed them.
