Why is justice a base desire? I think it is a profound desire.
Quote:I think it is a malicious, criminal tragedy to condemn a person to endless torture because they want proof that you exist.
God doesn't send people to hell because they want proof that God exists, God sends people to hell because they deserve punishment for sin.
In the Bible, there are people who are saved who are not Christians or Jews. I don't think eternal punishment is necessarily along the lines soly of whether people believe in the Christian God, because Job and Melchizdeck and the Ninevites are saved, despite being of a different faith.
Humility is not saying that you are small, humility is when you decrease you only care about other people and God. I would not say that this is where I am at. But this is what humility means. It is not someone who learns how to manipulate others by pretending to be small or act kind or flattering.
Jesus was a humble man who rebuked people and had a commanding presence. He was humble because Jesus put teaching the truth above his own life, as the early church did who followed him. A humble person is not someone who is timid, a humble person is someone who lives for others because his own life has been emptied so he can be a vessel of love for others.
