If God was going to allow hundreds of people to die anyway (to gun crime, or otherwise) why would praying help?

So if there is a magical super hero in the sky, he certainly seems to be a selective deadbeat. Or he likes all this shit because the fear humans have of death gets him attention. And how kind of him to take time out from being a selective deadbeat to favor one sporting team over another.
That's a terrible thing to say. He helps people find their car keys all the time!
