No my darling girl. THAT is precisely why I insisted that you know of ALL the shit that happens here that doesn't make the glossy brochures.
Sure come to Australia BUT remember that the place is out to kill you, so bring your allergy meds/ asthma meds. When you go out take a bottle of water with you (even in the cities) Food is great but what ever you do ...IF you go to our "forests" make sure you know what you are doing and take at least 24 litre of water and enough food for your trip.
Had to laugh, Zen is up in the Pilbarra (another popular "holiday" spot) He ran into a scorpion trying to get into his accommodation and was warned about the deadly Taipan snake. The heat was oppressive ... 45 degrees C dropping to a "cool" 30 dgrees C overnight. We do have snow fields and many of the Southern states (two actually) are rather like the Northern Hemisphere, but even they have their problems.
No hunny, you are right to not be eager to come here. late Autumn to early spring isn't too bad being too cold for the terrestrial 'bities'

No more hostile than Finland Kayenneh. I wouldn't like to be caught out in a winter storm there.
Which also brings me to the (I think it was Neil De Grasse Tyson) statement (paraphrasing)
The universe is 99% hostile to human life, the arrogance to believe that it was "designed" for humans is absurd
I guess this is why Australia is more secular/atheistic than most other countries.

Nuh-uh! I've seen your spiders, snakes and deserts!!
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Perhaps.
The only Aussies I've known have been outwardly polite when sober and damn bipolar when drunk.
That said, I roomed with one for a science conference and picked up the Perth accent after arguing with him for three hours.
It took two days of work to undo the accent. Due to that, my sister occasionally wonders aloud why I don't do voice acting.
Probably because I prefer managing code to managing my imitative talents.
I couldn't stand sounding like the Geico lizard.
Score another point to Oz trying to kill me. I thought I was going mad.

Yeah, cold weather is easy to deal with. You just wrap up in multiple layers. I don't want any giant spiders eating my face off.

You should be careful of our rivers, oceans and beaches too.

Oh my, how could we be so uncivil! (Naughty Aussies)
Would you like a White Tail spider instead?

Geico?
A Gecko with a cockney accent?
Geckos can be very pretty but damn annoying if they lose their grip from the ceiling and land on your bed (with you in the bed, late at night, while you are sleeping)
Yep, it's just one big fun play ground 'Down Under'

Accents I pickup usually devolve via intonation and pronunciation.
So yes, escaping Australia required me to visit the land of cockney.
It was difficult to undo.

Nah..It's a "cute" little fella, alot like the Irukanji. Small and has a very nasty bite. White tails love getting into your bedding, clothes left on the floor, boots left outside and gardening gloves.
The pic might display rather large. I assure you that they are no bigger than say 12mm according to wiki

I understand. I too can pick up someone's accent quickly and it is hard to find my own accent again.
But Cockney?

If you think that's bad, the deprogramming of a St. Petersburg accent has a brief period where I sound like Apu on the Kwik-e-mart.
So far, I've found mandarin-corrupted English to be the easiest to mimic and recover from.

Aaaah! There's nothing cute about the Irukanji!
