The point is that your stupid ass didn't start a thread called "Two excellent reasons to OPPOSE beard trimming in the UK".
Oh boohoo, typical yank response when confronted with a rational debate. Go cry to Congresswoman Bachmann or Ted Cruz haha

Scripture says if you've broken one you've broken all, so don't think to highly of yourselves, and I do include myself and all Christians in this, but then as Christians we do understand why.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Yep, if you break one of the arbitrary rules, you might as well break 'em all! In other words nothing stops you, cuz hey, if you're going to hang for one sheep as you do for ten...might as well commit incest and rape and slavery and murder, too.

Moral standards-fail! : D

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

RE: Homosexuality is a sin? Well, Xtians, what about these other 76 things?
It real simple.

The OT law is divided into 3 parts.

The social law. these laws govern day to day life. What to eat, slaves, loans, Marriage, farming and the like.

The cermonial law. these laws govern the worship of God. When, How, sacrifices, what animals to use, how to make and bless the items for use in the temple, preists, how they should look what they wear how to conduct the business of woship.

Then there is the Moral law. These cover basic behaivor, the "thou shalt nots" of the bible. Homosexuality is covered under the moral law, as is every other sexual sin.

Take note that under the new covenant established by Christ and outlined in the NT of the bible, only the Moral law is used as a guide to determine who is a follower of Christ, and subsequently saved by Grace, and not through our works so no man can boast.

If Christianity had been meant to incorperate the whole of the OT into our worship, then we would be old testament Jews and not Christian.

Hate to break it to you, Drippy but your godboy -allegedly- says you are full of shit.

Quote:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

I want to know which part of the Bible explicitly states, to precision, which aspects of OT law are no longer supposed to be in effect and which ones are.

hate to keep schooling you in front of your fans Minnie, but in that very same, actually even before the law, from the very first sin, God has made atonement for sin possible, in the blood sacrifice of another. This atonement is also found in the law, and it is still apart of the law. That means the provision blood atonement provides is just as much apart of the law Christ is teaching in mat 5, as the rules themselves. In other words attonement does not abolish the law of Moses. What was a sin, still is a sin. What attonement does is to remove the burden of following the law as a means to the righteousness needed to enter heaven. This is the "righteousness" of the Pharisees Jesus spoke of. This is also the righteousness we must surpass in order to enter heaven according to the same teaching found here in mt 5.

That is where the attonement of Christ comes in. The righteousness obtained from accepting the blood sacrifice of Christ exceeds the righteousness found in trying to adhear to the law and performing the nessassary animal sacrifices needed to attone for the sins you will commit, as the Pharisees did. For you see Minnie, nothing is replaced. Christ follows the all of the nessassary requirements to become the ultimate sacerfice. Meaning no other sacerfice is needed for any sin, ever again.

What else you got?

None are in effect as a means to righteousness. If you do not understand what that means then ask a question.

Okay. My question is "why didn't you answer my question?".
