We'd have to lift the necropost rule for that subforum only.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That way, when a new Christian comes by, we could just link to the thread and they could feel free to try to breathe life into the failed-but-still-endlessly-recycled argument.I don't think trying to marginalize only Christian posts is the way to go, repetitive posts come under a plethora of categories, not just Christianity. Perhaps we should start by unifying all introductions under one thread?
Heh, noone is saying people can't post the arguments (again!), what DP is saying is for religionists not to be all offended and whiny, crying that the atheists are big meanies and don't have reasonable discussions when they post their nauseating pile of crap for the nth time.
But I agree with compiling a few threads so we can point religionists to them when they bring up those old canards. RE: Attn: Christians, We've Heard Them Already

But most things I read from Atheists on here are exactly that- nauseating pile of crap. There is generally so much shit in not only this forum, but many forums, that's the nature of the internet. Sometimes I don't think threads on here deserve anything other than a flame-fest but it's still important to try and keep reasonable and calm from time to time don't you think?
Here's some more tired old (non) arguments:
"You just have to give your mind over to God. If you'd just believe in him, then you'd see all the evidence." "Atheism is a religion." "Evolution is a religion." "Evolution violates the 2nd law of thermodynamics." "The Big Bang is impossible because you can't get order from an explosion." "Life couldn't have spontaneously come from rocks." "The bible says that God exists, and the bible is true because God wrote it." "The bible is the most scientifically accurate book in history." "The bible is totally free of contradictions." In fact, just include any argument against evolution which tries to imply that the only alternative is biblical creationism, any argument against atheism which implies that if atheism is wrong then the only correct alternative is Christianity, and any argument citing the bible as an authority on anything.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
@OP:
People have been debating this stuff for centuries. If you limit debate to things you haven't heard before, you might as well close up shop. (June 4, 2013 at 9:02 am)thesummerqueen Wrote: We'd have to lift the necropost rule for that subforum only. Shit...it's not like people follow it anyway.
