How was the sun created on the fourth day?
June 7, 2013 at 5:15 pm
How was the Sun created on the fourth day if the Sun wasn't created until the fourth day? Four days wouldn't pass without the Sun.
I had read the Bible for decades and never thought of this, to be perfectly frank.

Time still passes, whether the sun exists or not?

Can't wait to see how Drippy and GC address this one.
I suspect it will be something to the effect of "god days", not real days. But don't ask them how long "god days" are. They still fight amongst themselves about that one.

One must also take into consideration that without the sun there would have been no source of light, even though Genesis states that on the first day God created light and darkness. Obviously, the writers had no concept of science, because there would have been absolutely no light without the sun. Just one more instance that proves the bible is bullshit.

I never got passed evening and morning on the first day.
Maybe God rigged up a temporary light source for the first few days and took it down once the sun and the moon were in place. He probably ran an extension chord down from heaven.

What day were the plants "created?" No sun, no photosynthesis, no plants...

Better than that, how could light have existed on earth before the sun was made? Supposedly there was light and dark separating the days and nights, but for some reason the sun didn't come into being until light had shone upon the earth for three days already.
Oh right, that part of the bible is metaphorical. But that thing about gays being an abomination is literal truth.

Oh Fest, quite being all scientific and stuff. This is GOD we're talking about here.
He wanted it that way. It was all magic to begin with so why should this be any different?

Imagine how the people who wrote the bible would react if you told them that the sun was a star and that all stars where therefor suns.
They would have probably stoned you and kept your teeth.
