Asking a question with an objective answer.
Can anyone on this forum invent the lightbulb?

Sure. I'll first need to invent the time machine, though.

Why can't anyone invent a lightbulb this instant?
(This may seem obvious, but we are doing this exercise for pineapplebunnybounce's sake).

Would such person receive a patent for the creation of the lightbulb?

Well they should if they invent a light bulb. But ultimately it would be up to the patent office I would assume.

What I am trying to say is that if I made a lightbulb right now, I could not claim to have invented the lightbulb.

The creator of the lightbulb is and can only be a man who did not have access to the lightbulb. A man who came before the lightbulb. He would have done his work by lamplight.
That's an objective, provable fact. I can build a table and take it to a patent office with similar results.

What does a table have to do with this? Confused Fall

Who invented the light bulb? Thinking

I think the light bulb is a poor choice to convey your message since I believe two people actually invented it separately.

If it's a theory then it's not a scientific theory. In fact from the POV of science, it qualifies more like a speculation than a theory.
